Yoko-tomoe-nage
(side stomach throw)
"Yoko-tomoe-nage is particularly useful when Uke is
on the move and still adopting a defensive posture but in
an off square possition.
As Uke stands with his left foot forwards, Tori takes an unorthodox
right hand grip and with his left foot to the rear he begins
to pull Uke's right sleeve towards his right front corner.
At the point when Uke's balance is broken Tori now commences
a slight turn clockwise on his right foot. Simultaniously
taking his left foot into a possition below Uke's centre of
gravity. As Uke continues his forward movement, Tori drops
swiftly downwards and slightly towards his left side, thus
seriously breaking Uke's balance towards his right corner.
As Uke pitches forward again Tori braces his propped leg and
as Uke pitches over his left shoulder Tori pulls downwards
and inwards on Uke's right sleeve causing Uke to be spun sideways
off the throwing leg."
