(broken cross body hold)
"Sit astride your opponent in the region of his chest and
facing his head. With both knees on the mat, lean foreward and
pass your left arm over his left shoulder and down his back to
secure a grip on his belt;
alternatively,
secure a grip on the right side of your collar. Uke's left arm
will now be trapped between your left shoulder and neck.
To secure the hold bend foreward until your forehead touches the
mat and the weight of your whole body is places across his shoulder-girdle.
Tori's feet may lie inserted under Uke's hips or thighs, with
the knees placed either side of him, securing all body movement.
The legs may also be used as stabilisers, moving outwards from
Uke's body one at a time to ensure that Uke cannot twist away.
The toes on the stabilising leg must be tucked into the mat. The
free right arm may also be used to prevent Uke's movements."
