Ura-nage
(Koga's rear throw)
This is the technique I used to win my first fight at the Atlanta
Olympic Games against Lo of Taipei.
As my opponent attempts a left drop seoi nage I drop a little
with him absorbing his attack and allowing him to his big pull
on my left arm.
I place my right hand flat on his abdomen just above his belt.
At the same time I take a very fast massive step around his body
with my left foot and plat it close to his right knee I have moved
180 degrees around him with the one big step. This has now effectively
killed his attack, but he will continue to pull on my left arm.
So now I start to accelerate his action by suplexing backwards
and spinning him with my right arm. This takes total commitment,
but gets a major score and lands me on top of the continuation
into ne-waza
